Galveston Island Hurricane
Please pray for the people of Galveston Island, Texas about to experience Hurricane Ike. A loved one works for the county jail and they did not have the resources to evacuate, and are sheltering in place on the island with 1000+ inmates. Pray for all of them.

Hi Phillip,
I am happy to join you in prayer to the Almighty God for your need:
Heavenly Father, Wonderful Counselor, Thank You God that nothing is too difficult for You. I ask that You will protect all who are in the path of hurricane Ike. Replace all anxieties with Your peace. Lord, help these people to rise above the things that concern them. May they surrender their burdens to You and thank You that as they do, You will make the burden light and get them through each difficult situation successfully. Thank You that You are more powerful than any of life’s storms that we must walk through. I ask You to help the people of Texas in the situation they are in now and the difficult things they face.
Almighty Father, I pray that You will enable each individual who’s in hurricane Ike’s path to open their hearts to Your spirit of wisdom and revelation, have the eyes of their hearts enlightened, and know the hope of Jesus’ calling, the riches of the glory of his inheritance, and the surpassing greatness of his power towards those who believe. I ask that You will never allow the enemy to snatch Your Truth away from any of them. In the name of Jesus Christ, King of Kings, please hear and bless this prayer O Heavenly Father. Amen
Ah, Sovereign Lord you have made the heavens and the earth by your outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17)
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. ( Proverbs 12:25)
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
(Psalm 55:22 NIV)
Be not afraid; only believe. (Mark 5:36 NKJV)
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. ( Hebrews 4:15,16 kjv)
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
(John 14:27)
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in
Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)
P.S. Phillip, please place God at the center of you and your family’s lives by way of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ which is where true happiness resides. The Almighty God is ABLE. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He’s capable, skillful, competent, masterful, and all sufficient. When we think about the heavens, the moon, all the stars, and how He is able to hold everything together by His infinite power, there should be no doubt in our hearts that He is able to meet all our needs. May God Bless You and Your Family Richly In All Things.
In His Service,
My entire family is in Galveston as well. Praying for your cousin and standing in agreement with you for the protection of the people. In Jesus name Amen.
Getting ready for prayer now for all the people left behind on this island. I will pray for their safety, strength and their lives to be spared. I am sorry to hear of so many being left behind but I understand how difficult evacuations can be. Prayers will be sent your way now all the way from Costa Rica. You are all being held closely in prayer…………
