Father, Thank you for all that you are. Thank you for the blessing you give us, including the trials in our lives. Father you use those trials to bring us closer to you and to help us change the things you want us to change. Thank you for calling me to your Son. Thank you for the love and forgiveness that you give us, through your grace. Father, thank you so much for the blessing that is my beloved and beautiful wife. Thank you for our children. The little man is such a joy to me and an angel in disguise. Ling is so talented and I see so much promise in her. Father thank you for our marriage, and what it means to you. Thank you for the changes you have made in me.
Lord, you have shown me how a marriage is supposed to be. How I, as a husband, are to be to my wife. How a wife is to be to her husband. How a marriage is to be of one flesh, is a gift from the Father, and how he meant it to be for life. That marriage isn’t to be 50/50, but where each gives 100 percent. Lord I am sorry I came into this marriage with the baggage that I had. But you have washed that away from me. I pray that you will wash away any pain, hurt, anger, resentment, or unforgiveness that is each of our hearts. I pray that you will bring the two of us closer to you. I pray that you will show my wife the changes you have made in me, show her the love I have for her in my heart. I pray that she will someday understand that my relationship with you is real as well. I pray someday she will be by my side on this walk with you.
Lord I choose to love her, with a true agape love. A love that will not leave nor forsake her. I am not going to give up on her, or marriage, or our family. All is much too important to quit and let the enemy have his way. He has had his way far too long, and I will not allow him to destroy us any longer.
I pray that you will heal and restore our marriage, in your perfect timing. I lift up my other brothers and sisters who are praying for the restoration of their marraiges and families.
It is in the name of Christ Jesus that I pray – amen
