For the longest time I have tried to be fulfilled. Being fulfilled was always on my mind. I did not perceive it as such, but that is what it was. I would look at trying to be successful in work and somehow try to incorporate religion into this endless pursuit of satisfaction. The only problem was I was never truly satisfied. Just recently I realized that someone can have all the religion in the world, but that won’t bring fulfillment. If you don’t believe me look at the Pharisees and Saducees that never turned and followed Jesus with their life actions. They had religion, but they were always power hungry and looking for praise and adoration. In fact, they were consumed with looking for a Messiah to end all their worldly struggles. They had followed the many religious laws and yet so many people were not fulfilled. This was part of God’s plan. Inside all of us we strive to have fulfillment in this world and yet there is nothing from this world that will bring true fulfillment. If you think worldly success will bring you ultimate satisfaction just remember what the richest man in the world, John D. Rockefeller, said when asked, “How much money is enough money?” He replied, “Just a little bit more.”
Don’t miss out on true fulfillment. Most of the Pharisees and religious leders overlooked the most important revelation to ever come across their paths, literally. And this was that God, literally came down in flesh as a man to make it possible for us to have true fulfillment. And you ask what is true fulfillment. True fulfillment in life is not worldly success, it is not even religion, but it is friendship with Jesus. We will never see the fullest extent of God’s fulfillment on earth, but we can be full of peace and satisfaction. You see through friendship with Jesus by his Spirit, The Holy Spirit, we are fulfilled. We experience fulfillment and satisfaction through relationship with God. Before, very few were filled with the actual Spirit of God. And when they did experience the filling of the Spirit of God, it was not whenever they desired it. It was extremely rare and not for the masses, just one person here or there would be filled with the Spirit of God. But now we can know God. This was made possible after departure. God’s body on this earth may have left us, but he released His Spirit as a flowing river to all who desire to be filled. ocean of his The most precious gift he could give us was His coming to earth, living a blameless life by the Spirit of God, then giving up his life as punishment for our sin, and the ascending back into heaven. It is by The Holy Spirit, Jesus empowers me to overcome depression, anxiety, loss, and heart ache, because he is my ultimate source of everything. When I was filled with The Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, it was by far the most incredible experience ever. And it was not a one time experience. Praise be to God that he would come and fulfill an incredible plan to die on that cross for my sins, be raised from the dead so that I can be fulfilled in Jesus with His Holy Spirit. If you would like to truly be free from emptiness and become fulfilled, look for friendship with God.
I’ll take a true and real relationship with Jesus over religion any day.
